Image processing
For the tools currently offered, supported source images are decoded and processed by code running in your browser. FormatTailor does not send the source file or generated image to a FormatTailor file-processing server.
The working source, preview, and result may remain in browser memory while the page is open. Generated files leave the page only when you choose to download them. Closing or reloading the page ends the current in-page session, subject to normal browser memory management.
Website requests
Your browser still makes ordinary network requests to load the FormatTailor pages, scripts, styles, and processing code. The hosting and network providers that deliver those files can receive technical request information such as IP address, requested path, time, browser user-agent string, and security-related headers. They may retain limited logs for delivery, abuse prevention, and reliability.
Cookies, accounts, and browser storage
The initial FormatTailor tools do not require an account and the static product interface does not intentionally set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The tools may use temporary browser memory, object URLs, and other short-lived browser features needed to display and download a result.
Metadata inspection
The metadata tool reports fields recognized by its included parser. It cannot guarantee that every proprietary or malformed metadata container is detected. A fresh export is created from decoded pixels so recognized source metadata blocks are not copied into that result. People with a high-risk sharing requirement should independently inspect the downloaded file.
Limits outside FormatTailor
Your operating system, browser, browser extensions, security software, download manager, and destination service may separately access or record files. Their behavior is outside FormatTailor’s control. Do not process a file on a device you do not trust.
