Why this is not a conversion directory
A long list of file extensions does not describe what a person is trying to finish. FormatTailor organizes tools around practical outcomes: meet a file-size limit, create exact dimensions, choose a suitable format, remove optional photo metadata, or prepare a starter set of website assets.
Local by design
The current image tools use browser APIs and locally loaded code for supported processing. That means the source file does not need to be uploaded to a FormatTailor file-processing server. Local processing also has honest constraints: browser memory, device speed, decoder support, and the quality of the source all affect what can be produced.
Useful results over confident promises
An image cannot always look good below an arbitrary size. A conversion cannot restore lost detail. A generated 16-pixel icon still needs a human glance. FormatTailor surfaces these limits and reports the actual result so the person using the tool can decide whether it is suitable.
What comes next
The first release is deliberately narrow. New workflows should be added only when they solve a distinct job and can meet the same standards for privacy, clarity, accessibility, and inspectable output.
